Lavender earns her third Player of the Week honor this season and the seventh of her career after leading the Buckeyes to a pair of wins last week. Against Delaware State on Tuesday, the sophomore put up 29 points on 12-of-13 (.923) shooting with 11 rebounds and four blocks as OSU rolled to a 68-35 win. In Ohio State’s Big Ten opener against Michigan on Sunday, the 6-4 center netted 28 points, going 13-of-19 (.684) from the floor, grabbing eight boards and blocking one shot in a 70-50 win. For the week, Lavender averaged 28.5 points on .781 shooting with 9.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. With seven career Player of the Week honors, Lavender is now tied for fifth all-time in the conference records book.
