Smith led the Illini in a 66-52 road victory over Missouri last week, putting up 19 points and pulling down 16 rebounds. The sophomore shot .538 from the field and was 5-for-7 (.714) at the line, also contributing an assist, a block and a steal as Illinois finished the non-conference schedule with an 8-3 record. With her conference-leading seventh double-double of the season, Smith fronts the Big Ten in rebounding (10.6 rpg) and field-goal percentage (.618) and is second in scoring (19.8 ppg). The award is Smith's third this season and the third of her career.
