BIG TEN WOMEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Danielle Campbell, Purdue
Sr., C, 6-4, Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young
Campbell earns Player of the Week honors after leading Purdue to a 69-60 win at Iowa on Sunday. The senior netted 15 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to record her second double-double of the season and the eighth of her career. The 6-4 center was 6-of-11 (54.5 percent) from the field and was a perfect 3-for-3 at the free-throw line. The Chicago native also dished out two assists and swatted away two shots as the Boilermakers defeated the 2008 Big Ten Co-Champion Hawkeyes. The weekly award is the first of Campbell’s career and the third for Purdue this season.
