Big Ten Conference Announces Field Hockey Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week Jeamie Deacon, So., B, Deacon led the Spartans in scoring over the weekend with two goals and an assist, helping No. 19 Michigan State remain undefeated on the season. The Wexford, Ireland, native had a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win over Miami (Ohio), before scoring the opening goal in the 3-0 victory over No. 20 Boston University on Sunday. Deacon leads all Spartans with 15 shots, 10 points and four goals on the season. This is Deacon's first Player of the Week accolade.
Last MSU Offensive POW: Defensive Player of the Week Jr., GK, Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood Munley recorded her second shutout of the season, including her second against a top-five opponent.
