Caitlin McCurdy, Iowa

McCurdy earns Player of the Week laurels after tallying three goals and two assists last week. The sophomore forward led the Hawkeyes to a 5-1 victory over Kent State. With the score tied 1-1, McCurdy posted a strong second half, registering one goal, while also adding two assists against the Golden Flashes. She followed with another stellar performance on Sunday, tallying two goals in a 3-2 loss to No. 3 Duke.

Mallory Weisen, Penn State
Jr., B, Middleburg, Pa./Middleburg

Weisen helped lead Penn State to a 3-1 record last week, including two victories over ranked opponents on the road. In a 2-0 shutout over Lock Haven, Weisen took four shots and led the offensive attack that produced two goals to give the Lions their first win of the year. Against No. 13 Northeastern, she netted the game-tying goal, which was the first of five PSU goals for a 5-1 win. Weisen closed out the weekend, scoring the only goal of the game to give the Nittany Lions a 1-0 shutout victory at No. 9 Connecticut.

Luces claims her first Defensive Player of the Week accolade after leading an Ohio State defense which allowed just one goal and nine shots in the Blue Hen Classic last weekend. After falling behind, 1-0, the junior midfielder was a mainstay on the Buckeye defense, allowing the Blue Hens only three shots in the second half. Luces also contributed offensively, scoring the game-winning goal for the 2-1 victory. The Buckeyes then shutout Penn, 4-0, to claim their third-straight win.
