Offensive Player of the Week
Meghan Small, Northwestern

Small claims Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading Northwestern to a 2-0 record last weekend. She opened the week tallying an assist in a 4-3 overtime victory against Fairfield. Small then followed with a two-goal performance against Yale to give the Wildcats their second consecutive win. Small currently leads the team in goals (3), shots (15) and points (7). She earns her second career offensive weekly accolade as she was also honored on Aug. 30, 2004.

Defensive Player of the Week
Lissa Munley, Iowa
Fr., GK, Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood

Munley was named Defensive Player of the Week after earning her first collegiate victories against Stanford and California last weekend. Munley recorded three saves against Stanford, while giving up only one goal in a 3-1 victory over the Cardinal. She then followed with a two-save performance versus the Bears for a 2-1 triumph. After four games this season, Munley has had just five goals scored against her to post a 1.61 goal average, while also tallying 16 saves. The freshman goalkeeper picks up her first career Big Ten weekly accolade and becomes the first Iowa player since former All-American Barb Weinberg was honored on Oct. 18, 2004.
