Offensive Player of the Week
Ciara Girouard, Indiana

• Played instrumental role in Indiana’s victories over No. 15 Wake Forest and Villanova
• Registered her first career hat trick in the Hoosiers’ 4-3 victory at Villanova
• Netted the game-winner in the 63rd minute against Villanova, completing the first hat trick by an Indiana player since Kate Barber on Sept. 28, 2016
• Earns her first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honor

Defensive Player of the Week
Jenny Rizzo, Penn State
GK - Jr. – Hershey, Pa. – Hershey
• Anchored a Penn State defense that defeated Temple, 5-0, and No. 15 Wake Forest, 6-0
• Posted two shutouts in Penn State’s home opening weekend
• Recorded a season high nine saves
• Earns her second Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor and her first of the season

Freshman of the Week
Daphne Groothuis, Rutgers
M – Nieuwerker Aan Den Ijssel, The Netherlands - Thorbecke Voortgezet Onderwijs

• Led Rutgers to a pair of victories on the weekend, including a 5-1 upset over No. 23 Old Dominion
• Helped improve Rutgers to a 4-0 start to the season for the first time since 2008
• Scored the game-winning goal at Penn and recorded two goals and two assists against No. 23 Old Dominion on a neutral field
• Earns her second career Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor
