Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Lucia Belassi, Michigan

Sr., F, Paysandu, Uruguay/Liceo #1


Belassi collected two goals and a pair of assists over the weekend in No. 15 Michigan's upset of No. 9 Old Dominion and loss to No. 3 Connecticut. The Paysandu, Uruguay, native tallied two shots, scoring one goal and assisting on two others in the 4-3 win over ODU. On Saturday, Belassi scored Michigan's lone goal in the 3-1 loss to UConn. The award is the second of Belassi's career, as she was honored last season.

Co-Offensive Player of the Week

Jantine Steinmetz, Michigan State

Fr., F, Amstelveen, Netherlands/Keizer Karel College


In two games, freshman Steinmetz totaled nine shots, four goals and one assist to earn the first laurel of her career. Steinmetz  produced two markers on three shots in the 10-0 victory over Lindenwood on Friday. On Saturday, the Amstelveen, Netherlands, native recorded two goals and an assist in the 11-1 win over St. Louis. Steinmetz is tied for the team lead with six goals on the season.

Defensive Player of the Week

Haley Exner, Indiana

Sr., GK, San Diego, Calif./Scripps Ranch


Exner recorded her second shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over Ball State on Saturday. The San Diego native notched a career-high seven saves and stopped numerous odd-man attacks from Ball State, including a key one-on-one late in the second half. She has given up only three goals through five games. Exner picks up the sixth accolade of her career, garnering two in 2006 and three in 2005.
