Offensive Player of the Week
Curlyne Wynn, Ohio State
SO, F, Trincity, Trinidad and Tobago/North Eastern College

Wynn earns Offensive Player of the Week accolades after scoring three of Ohio State's seven goals to give the Buckeyes a 2-0 record last week. The 2003 Big Ten Freshman of the Year honoree was part of a solid Buckeye offense, which defeated Kent State, 3-1, and shut out Miami (Ohio), 4-0, by generating 36 shots over two games. Two of Wynn's goals came unassisted, as she found a line of attack in offensive battles between the Buckeyes and their opponents.

Defensive Player of the Week
Megan Asktin, Penn State
JR, GK, Poughkeepsie, NY/Arlington
Asktin was named Defensive Player of the Week after tallying 13 saves in two games, including a 2-0 shutout victory over James Madison to give the Nittany Lions their first win of the 2004 season. Against North Carolina, the sophomore helped PSU withstand a barrage of shots as the Tar Heels attemped 14 in the first period, however Asktin held her ground, recording eight saves. She currently ranks third in the League with 5.40 saves per game and 1.58 goals against average.
