Iowa and Northwestern Earn Weekly Field Hockey Accolades

Offensive Player of the Week Alexandra Quinn, Northwestern Quinn earns her second weekly award of the season and career after leading Northwestern to two wins over the weekend. Against St. Louis, the senior knocked in two goals and had three assists to lead the Wildcats to a 6-1 win. On Sunday, the Watertown, Mass., native added two more goals in a victory over Robert Morris, 4-0. Meghan Beamesderfer, Iowa Beamesderfer led the Hawkeye defense in capturing two wins over the weekend giving up just one goal in both matches. Iowa routed Central Michigan, 9-0, then followed with another triumph over Boston on Sunday, 5-1. Beamesderfer played all but four minutes in both matches as the Iowa defense relinquished only 11 shots the entire weekend. This is Beamesderfer's second career weekly award.
