Offensive Player of the Week
Floor Rijpma, Michigan State

Rijpma earned her second Offensive Player of the Week award of the season and the third of her career with a four-goal, eight-point weekend for No. 8 Michigan State. Against No. 18 Northwestern on Friday, Rijpma scored three goals on 10 shots and guided the Spartans to a 5-2 win over the Wildcats. On Sunday against Maine, Rijpma scored the game-winning goal with less than two minutes remaining in Michigan State's 2-1 victory. Through 10 games this season, Rijpma is second in the Big Ten in shots (50) and fourth in goals (8).

Unger earned her first Defensive Player of the Week award of 2009, and the second of her career, after posting 15 saves in two victories during the weekend for No. 8 Michigan State. Against No. 18 Northwestern on Friday, Unger made 10 saves in a 5-2 victory versus a Northwestern offense that ranks No. 1 in the Big Ten in goals scored. Against Maine on Sunday, Unger made five saves while surrendering just one score in the Spartans' 2-1 win. Unger ranks second in the conference in goals-against average (1.78) and third in saves (45).

Queralt wins her third Freshman of the Week award after helping Ohio State to a pair of wins this past week. On Tuesday at Ball State, Queralt scored once and assisted on two goals as the Buckeyes earned a 5-0 win over the Cardinals. In Ohio State's Big Ten opener against No. 17 Indiana on Sunday, Queralt recorded an assist and once again found the net, this time scoring the game-winner with just seven seconds to play, in the Buckeyes' 3-2 victory over the Hoosiers. Queralt leads the Big Ten with four game-winning goals and 10 assists on the season.

Vernij wins her third Big Ten Freshman of the Week award by virtue of a seven-point weekend effort for No. 8 Michigan State. Against No. 18 Northwestern on Friday, Vernij assisted on four Michigan State goals, tying a school record and matching the 2009 Big Ten high, in the Spartans' 5-2 victory over the Wildcats. Against Maine on Sunday, Vernij recorded three points on a goal and the game-winning assist in Michigan State's 2-1 victory. Vernij ranks second in the conference in assists (7) and is tied for fifth in goals (7).
