Offensive Player of the Week

Jeamie Deacon, Michigan State
Jr., MF, Wexford, Ireland / Newton School Waterford

Deacon earns her fourth career weekly award after leading Michigan State to two wins over the weekend.  Against No. 16 Ohio State, the senior posted a goal and set up another to lead the Spartans to a 3-1 win.  On Sunday, the Wexford, Ireland, native knocked in a score sending the game into overtime and then assisted on the game-winner as MSU defeated No. 20 California, 3-2.  For the weekend, Deacon had a hand in five of Michigan State's six goals.

Defensive Player of the Week

Roz Ellis, Iowa
Sr., B, Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg Area

Ellis led the Hawkeye defense in capturing two wins over the weekend, allowing just one goal over two contests.  On Friday, Iowa downed conference foe Indiana, 6-1, then followed with another victory over No. 11 Louisville on Sunday, 1-0.  Ellis played all 140 minutes throughout both matches as the Iowa defense allowed only five shots the entire weekend.  The Hawkeye senior collects her second career weekly award.
