Offensive Player of the Week
Annelise Legel, Penn State
Jr., F, Morgantown, Pa./Twin Valley

Legel scored three goals in two games last week, while helping the Nittany Lions extend their win streak to 12 straight games to pick up her first Offensive Player of the Week accolade. Against Syracuse, the junior forward tallied one goal to give PSU a 3-0 shutout over the Orange. Legel followed with another solid performance, notching two first-half goals in a 3-2 victory over No. 13 Michigan. The Morgantown, Pa. native is currently tied for first in the conference with a total of 11 goals, while also ranking second in points per game (1.92 pg).


Defensive Player of the Week
Haley Exner, Indiana

Exner claims Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week laurels after leading the Hoosiers to a 2-0 record, including a 3-1 victory over No. 13 Michigan. For the weekend, she recorded nine saves against the Wolverines and until the last minute of play, held Michigan scoreless. Exner, who ranks second in the conference in save percentage (.814) and goals against average (1.21), collects her second career Player of the Week laurel as she was also honored on Sept. 12, 2005.
