Veerle Goudswaard, Michigan State
SR, F, Houten, Netherlands/St. Bonifatius
Goudswaard earns Offensive Player of the Week accolades for the second time in her career after scoring the game-winner in a 3-2 overtime victory over Ohio State on Saturday. She finished the game posting two goals, while also collecting an assist on teammate Annebet Beerman's goal. Goudswaard's performance gives her 19 goals on the season to lead the team in scoring, while also surpassing her goal total of 18 from last season.
Defensive Player of the Week
Molly Schriver, Penn State
JR, B, Kenilworth, Ill./New Trier
Schriver collects her first Defensive Player of the Week honor after anchoring a Penn State defense that shut out Princeton, Indiana and West Chester last weekend. It marked the second time this season that the Nittany Lions have held three consecutive opponents scoreless, the first time since 1993 that PSU has accomplished the feat twice in a season. After claiming identical 1-0 shutouts against Princeton and Indiana, Schriver and the Nittany Lions finished the weekend by not allowing a shot from West Chester for a 3-0 win.
