Offensive Player of the Week
Jeamie Deacon, Michigan State

Deacon had two goals while helping No. 7 Michigan State defeat No. 9 Penn State on Sunday for it's second consecutive win.  In the road win at University Park, Pa., Deacon posted her two goals on five shots to help the Spartans improve to 12-4 overall on the season and 3-1 in Big Ten play.  She now ranks second on the team in goals scored (11), third in assists (8) and first in total points (30).  This is Deacon's third weekly honor of the season and for her career.

Defensive Player of the Week
Paige Laytos, Michigan
So., M, Lititz, Pa./Warwick

Laytos helped seal the win over Indiana on Friday with a game-winning overtime goal.  The win earned the Wolverines at least a share of the Big Ten title for 2007.  Defensively, the Lititz, Pa. native contributed to the 1-0 shutout over the Hoosiers and helped in allowing just five shots on goal last week from the opposition.  This is the second weekly honor for Laytos this season and the third of her career.
