Michigan Earns at Least a Share of Big Ten Field Hockey Championship

ROSEMONT, Ill. – For the first time since 2011, the Michigan field hockey team clinched at least a share of the Big Ten Championship Sunday afternoon.

Meg Dowthwaite’s goal in the 34th minute sealed No. 3 Michigan’s 3-2 victory at No. 22 Iowa on Sunday afternoon and lifted the Wolverines to a 7-0 mark in Big Ten play.

The Wolverines can clinch the outright Big Ten Championship with a win in their final conference outing against Northwestern on Friday, Oct. 20.
