With Penn State’s 2-1 win over Iowa on Friday afternoon, the sixth-ranked Nittany Lions clinched at least a share of the Big Ten Championship. Penn State claims its second consecutive Big Ten title and seventh overall. Due to its head-to-head wins over Michigan State and Northwestern, the Nittany Lions have earned the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the Big Ten Tournament, which will be held at Ohio State from Nov. 7-10.

Penn State scored two second-half goals en route to the Big Ten title. Jenna Chrismer found the back of the net in the 49th minute to tie the score at 1-1 and Brittany Grzywacz notched the game-winner four minutes later.

Penn State improves to 5-0 in conference play and 12-3 overall. The Nittany Lions can clinch the outright title with a victory over Michigan next Friday, Nov. 1.
