Offensive Player of the Week

O'Connell tallied five points for the Hoosiers last week with two goals and an assist as Indiana went 2-1 to close out the regular season. Against Stanford, O'Connell assisted in a game-tying goal to force overtime propelling the Hoosiers to a 2-1 victory. O'Connell scored her first goal of the week in Indiana's loss against No. 13 Louisville on Oct. 25. On Sunday, O'Connell scored again by controlling the ball at the top of the circle and fired a shot that found the back of the net to help Indiana defeat Northwestern in the regular season finale. O'Connell leads the Hoosiers in goals and points for the season. This is O'Connell's first career weekly honor.

Defensive Player of the Week
Amy Schneider, Michigan State
Sr., M, Louisville, Ky. / Mercy
Schneider earns her second straight weekly honor after helping Michigan State clinch the No. 2 seed in 2007 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament with a 1-0 win over Iowa. The Spartan defense shutout the Hawkeyes in a game that determined second and third place in the conference standings. Schneider also paced the MSU defense in a 5-1 rout of Kent State. This is Schneider's second weekly honor of the season and her career.
