PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Offensive Player of the Week
Frederique Meeuwsen, Indiana
FR, F, Zuid, Scharwoude, Holland/Zuid
Meeuwsen collects Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career after notching two goals and an assist to help the Hoosiers clinch a 3-1 victory over Ohio State for their first Big Ten victory of the year. She also added an assist in a 3-1 win versus Saint Louis to finish the weekend with a total of six points. Meeuwsen currently leads Indiana in points (22) and goals (10).
Defensive Player of the Week
Lori Hillman, Michigan
JR, D, Gibbsboro, N.J./Eastern Regional
Hillman claims Defensive Player of the Week accolades after quarterbacking a dominate Michigan defense that shutout Penn State, 1-0, last weekend to give the Wolverines a share of the Big Ten Championship and the No. 1 seed in the Conference Tournament. Michigan held the Nittany Lions to just two penalty corners and five total shots with only three reaching the Wolverines' cage. It marks the first weekly honor of Hillman's career.
