Offensive Player of the Week

Jessica Barnett, Iowa
MF – Jr. – North Vancouver, B.C. – Handsworth Secondary

  • Tallied six points on three goals over the weekend in 5-2 win over Ball State
  • Recorded her first career hat trick against the Cardinals
  • Has nine goals on the season, all of which have come during the Hawkeyes’ six-game win streak
  • Earns her third weekly award of the season and of her career

Defensive Player of the Week

Laura Napolitano, Ohio State
B – Jr. – Cincinnati, Ohio – Saint Ursula Academy                 

  • Led Ohio State’s defensive effort in 3-1 win over No. 20 Northwestern
  • Tallied two points on one goal against the Wildcats
  • Part of the Ohio State backfield that has held opponents to 1.50 goals and 11.4 shots per game
  • Earns the first weekly award of her career
  • Last Ohio State Defensive Player of the Week: Jenn Sciulli (Oct. 25, 2011)

Freshman of the Week

Laura Gebhart, Penn State
MF – Mount Joy, Pa. – Donegal

  • Notched four points on two goals over the weekend in wins over Bucknell (3-1) and Michigan State (4-1)
  • Recorded a game-high six shots against Bucknell
  • Earns the second weekly award of her career
