Penn State Defeats Wake Forest to Advance to NCAA Championship Game

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Penn State (16-7) defeated Wake Forest in game two of the NCAA national semifinals to earn a spot in the NCAA championship game.  The Nittany Lions defeated the Demon Deacons by a score of 2-0 and will play for the national championship on Sunday.

Mallory Weisen scored the first goal for Penn State, and Shaun Banta put in an insurance goal with just over 10 minutes remaining to claim the victory. 

The Nittany Lions will face North Carolina (23-0) in Sunday afternoon's finale.  The game is slated for Noon ET and will be telvised by CSTV.  For stats and information on the title game, vist www.umterps.com or www.ncaasports.com.
