The 2009 Big Ten women’s golf season will commence this weekend as three Big Ten squads hit the links in Florida.  Among the teams competing are Illinois, Michigan State and Ohio State.  

On Saturday, the Fighting Illini travel to Naples, Fla. for a meeting with I-74 rival Illinois State.  The Buckeyes and Spartans will tee off in Fort Meyers, Fla. for an 18-hole head-to-head match up on Sunday.    The following weekend on Feb. 1, the Hoosiers and Badgers will compete for the Westbrook cup in Peoria, Ariz.

Regular season action continues up until April 24-26 when Purdue will host the2009 Big Ten Championships at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex which housed the 2008 NCAA Men’s Championships.
