Amy Schmucker, Michigan
JR, Cold Spring, Minn./Rocori

Schmucker took home her first collegiate medalist honor after a career-best two-day performance at the Central District Classic in Parrish, Fla., at the River Wilderness Country Club. She finished with a career-best 216 (74-72-70) 54-hole total lowering her best 54-hole tournament score by 10 strokes. Her 216 total would tie her with Arkansas' Stacy Lewis (72-70-74), but Schmucker was declared the winner based upon her low final round score, 70 to 74.

The title makes her the 13th Wolverine to win an individual title and gives the Wolverine program its 20th overall medalist trophy.

This is Schmucker's first career Big Ten Golfer of the Week award.  She is the first Wolverine to earn the honor since Laura Olin on March 31, 2004.
