BIG TEN WOMEN'S GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Alvarez led the Wildcats to the 2007 Red Rocks Invitational title and earned individual co-medalist honors in the process. She delivered with a birdie on her final hole, which gave Northwestern a single-stroke victory over Washington State. The former Tulane University star, who is completing her final year of eligibility while enrolled in graduate school, carded rounds of 73 and 74 for a 3-over 147. In her five tournaments with the 'Cats this year, she has finished in the top 15 of all five events with three top-10 showings.
