Big Ten Golfer of the Week:
Ashley Bauer, Michigan
Sr. - Grand Blanch, Mich. - Grand Blanc

Senior Ashley Bauer posted her second individual crown after carding a career-best, four-under 209 tally at the Rio Verde Invitational last week. The top-finish gives Michigan its 25th individual title in program history and set a new U-M record for a 54-hole event. Bauer's score marked the lowest three-round total in tournament history to best the field by nine strokes and set a new standard for the largest margin of victory at the event. The Grand Blanch, Mich., native carded a 68 in the opening 18 holes before posting her second-straight and fourth career U-M record round of 68 in the second round on Saturday. She closed with a two-over 73 to earn medalist honors and eclipse her own 54-hole school record of 212. Bauer has yet to miss a tournament in her career, making appearances in 44 straight events. This is the second Big Ten Golfer of the Week award for Bauer’s career and her first this season.
