With medalist honors at the East/West Rio Verde Invitational, Michigan's Laura Olin won her third career event and captured Golfer of the Week honors from the League office.

With medalist honors at the East/West Rio Verde Invitational, Olin won her third career event and captured Golfer of the Week honors from the League office.  Olin also earned recognition on the national scene as she was named Women's College Golfer of the Week by Golf World Magazine.  Olin used an even-par 71 final round to move up from a two-stroke deficit after the second round to a two-stroke win. She tallied a career-best 54-hole total of 218 after a 73 in the first round followed by a 74 in the second.  Olin held off the late charge of Iowa's Liz Bennett, who was the runner-up at 220 (73-74-73).
