Laura Gonzalez-Escallon reels in her second Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor this season after finishing first at the Battle at Rancho Bernardo and leading No. 7 Purdue to its second straight tournament win. Gonzalez-Escallon finished the tournament with a score of 209 (-7), marking the best three-round score of her career. The sophomore shot a 2-under 70 in the first round, following with a 1-under 71 in the second. She concluded the tournament with a career-low 68 (-4) to help her tie the second-lowest 54-hole total in Purdue history. The Boilermakers' tournament win came against a field which also included the top two teams in the country.
