Teresa Puga, Minnesota

Junior Teresa Puga collects her second Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor of the season after leading Minnesota to an 11th-place finish at the Pinehurst Invitational last week. The product of A Coruña, Spain, carded rounds of 77 and 72 on the opening day of competition before pacing the Gophers with a score of 78 on the final day of the tournament to finish in a tie for 23rd place. Puga owns a current spring season scoring average of 74.16 and a career scoring record of 76.16, both all-time program lows. This is the second Big Ten Golfer of the Week selection for Puga’s career.
