BIG TEN WOMEN'S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Seul Ki Park, Illinois
Jr., Northbrook, Ill./New Trier

Park took home her first career medalist title by firing back-to-back even par rounds of 72 at the Indiana Invitational on April 9-10. The junior's 36-hole total of 144 outpaced the rest of the field by three shots. She becomes the first Illini in over two years to take home individual medalist honors at a tournament after finishing in second four times previously in her career. Park helped the Illini to a third-place finish in the 17-team field that featured seven other Big Ten squads. She leads Illinois in stroke average this season (76.7).

Maria Hernandez, Purdue
So., Pamplona, Spain/Ortega Y Gasset

Hernandez finished tied for first at the Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C., and took home medalist honors by winning the third sudden-death playoff hole on Sunday. It is the third consecutive tournament that Hernandez has finished first or tied for first. Hernandez shot 1-under-par 215 (71-73-71) for the win, which marks the fourth time this year that Hernandez has recorded a score of 215, her lowest three day total this season. In addition, Golf World named her the female college player of the week for her performance at the Bryan National.
