Michigan State's Caroline Powers picks up the final Big Ten Women's Golfer of the Week award of the season after taking medalist honors at the Lady Buckeye Invitational over the weekend. Powers' first-place finish, the first of her career, led the 22nd-ranked Spartans to the team title in a field which featured eight other Big Ten teams. The sophomore opened the tournament with a 75, following with an even-par 72 in Round 2 to jump into first place entering the final round. Holding a three-shot lead going into Round 3, Powers held off the field to win by one stroke.
