BRYAN, Texas - The first round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships concluded on Wednesday, with Purdue leading the group of Big Ten teams through the first day. The Boilermakers hold third place through 18 holes, posting a team score of 292 (+4). Michigan State's Caroline Powers is tied for second place individually to pace the Big Ten golfers, firing a 2-under 70 in Round 1.

Numa Gulyanamitta led the charge for Purdue, carding a 1-under 71 to tie for fifth through the first 18 holes. Ohio State holds 14th place entering the second round, while Minnesota sits in a tie for 16th.

The second round of the championships gets underway on Thursday at 7 a.m. CT.
