ROSEMONT, Ill. – Michigan State, Northwestern and Ohio State will represent the Big Ten at the 2014 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships, which will run from Tuesday to Friday at the 6,194-yard, par 70 Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. The Spartans and Wildcats both finished among the top eight in the West Regional, while the Buckeyes advanced from the Central Regional earlier this month.
After placing fifth in the West Regional with a three-round score of 903 (291-311-301), Michigan State returns to the NCAA Championships for the third straight year and 12th time in program history. Northwestern finished eighth in the West Regional with a team score of 914 (302-296-316) and is advancing to the national event for the second consecutive year and third time in school history. Ohio State recorded a fifth-place finish at the Central Regional after finishing with a three-round score of 899 (305-288-306). The Buckeyes will compete in the NCAA Championships for the 19th time in school history.
The NCAA Women’s Golf Championships feature 72 holes of stroke play competition. Live results from the event, as well as live streaming from May 22-23 of holes 16, 17 and 18, can be watched online at NCAA.com.
