The Big Ten sent three women's golf teams to the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, including Michigan State, Northwestern and Ohio State. The Buckeyes placed seventh at the national event with a four-round score of 1,158. The Wildcats finished in 15th place with a score of 1,166, while the Spartans placed 20th with a score of 1,178.

On the individual leaderboard, Michigan State's Allyssa Ferrell placed 10th with a four-round score of 3-over 283. Ohio State's Allison Harper and Katja Pogacar tied for 16th place with a four-round score of 285.


The final round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships is underway at the Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. Heading into the final round, Northwestern and Ohio State are tied for 10th place (878), followed by Michigan State in 20th place (890).  The Spartans' Allyssa Ferrell begins the fourth round in a third-place tie with a score of even-par 210.

Through two rounds of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, Michigan State sits in 9th place with a score of 588, followed by Ohio State in 11th (590) and Northwestern in 15th (594). The Spartans' Allyssa Ferrell is currently second on the individual leaderboard with a 2-under 138.


 

 

The third round of the NCAA Championships continues Thursday morning.

Through the first round of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships, Ohio State sits in a tie for 8th place with a score of 299, followed by Michigan State and Northwestern tied at 16th with a score of 305. The Spartans' Allyssa Ferrell is currently in 5th place with a 1-under 69. 

The second round of the NCAA Championships continues Wednesday morning. 


Michigan State, Northwestern and Ohio State will represent the Big Ten at the 2014 NCAA Women’s Golf Championships, which run today through Friday at the 6,194-yard, par 70 Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla.

After placing fifth in the West Regional with a three-round score of 903 (291-311-301), Michigan State returns to the NCAA Championships for the third straight year and 12th time in program history. Northwestern finished eighth in the West Regional with a team score of 914 (302-296-316) and is advancing to the national event for the second consecutive year and third time in school history.  Ohio State recorded a fifth-place finish at the Central Regional after finishing with a three-round score of 899 (305-288-306). The Buckeyes will compete in the NCAA Championships for the 19th time in school history.

The NCAA Women’s Golf Championships feature 72 holes of stroke play competition. Live results from the event, as well as live streaming from May 22-23 of holes 16, 17 and 18, can be watched online at NCAA.com.
