Michigan and Ohio State Reel in First Women's Gymnastics Awards of 2011

Gymnast of the Week Michigan's Kylee Botterman reels in her third career Big Ten Gymnast of the Week honor after earning the all-around title against Iowa, Michigan State and Western Michigan on Friday. Botterman's performance led the ninth-ranked Wolverines to a first-place finish at the quad-meet, finishing with a team score of 195.700. The senior took first on the vault (9.875) and balance beam (9.825) while earning third place on the bars (9.850) and in the floor exercise (9.850) en route to an all-around score of 39.400. Botterman's all-around score marks the fourth-highest in the country. Last Michigan Gymnast of the Week: Kylee Botterman (March 22, 2010) Freshman of the Week Ohio State's Sarah Miller takes home the first Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor of 2011 after earning top-three finishes in the vault, balance beam and floor exercise against No. 23 Minnesota on Saturday, helping the Buckeyes to a 194.475-193.925 win. Miller took the event title on the beam, scoring a 9.875. She also tied for second in the floor exercise with a score of 9.800 and tied for third on the vault with a 9.750.
