Michigan's Curtis Nabs Weekly Laurel

All-arounder Sarah Curtis garners her second weekly accolade of the season after claiming top
honors in the all-around competition to help the No. 20-ranked Michigan women’s gymnastics
team defeat No. 18 Iowa State, 195.875-193.900 on Saturday. Curtis’ all-around score set a
Wolverine season high 39.400, marking her third all-around title of the year and seventh of her
career. She also took bars with a 9.875 for her first title on the event this season. The junior
Wolverine pushed Michigan to season high scores on vault (9.825), beam (9.825) and floor
(9.875), finishing runner-up in each of the three events while helping U-M better its previous
best team score by more than a full point. This is the fifth career weekly laurel for Curtis, who
earned the honor three times in 2008 before nabbing the first award in 2009.
