Iowa's Simbhudas and Penn State's Personett Share Gymnast of the Week Honor

Women's Co-Gymnasts of the Week

Simbhudas helped lead Iowa to its best team score since 2005 as she placed first in two individual events and the all-around against Ohio State.  The junior tied for first in the vault with a score of 9.825 and also took the top spot on the floor scoring a 9.875.  She followed up her two titles with a second place finish on the bars and tied for fourth on the beam.  He 39.3 all-around score earned her first in the competition.  The Hawkeyes tied with Buckeyes in the dual scoring 195.400 as a team.  This is Simbhudas' first career weekly honor.

Brandi Personett, Penn State

Personett earns her second weekly accolade of the season with her two individual titles and a first place all-around finish in a tri-meet against William & Mary and Yale.  The sophomore scored a 9.800 on the beam to win first place and had a 9.875 mark on the floor to take that title as well.  Personett also had second-place finishes in the vault and bars.  The Katy, Texas native's all-around score of 39.350 was enough to win the all-around competition.  Personett now has three career weekly honors.
