Women's Co-Gymnasts of the Week

Jenifer Simbhudas, Iowa

Jr., Markham, Ontario / Markville Secondary

 

Simbhudas led the Hawkeyes to two victories last weekend over Minnesota and Texas Woman's University.  In her first meet of the weekend, Simbhudas had career-high scores against the Gophers with a 9.95 on the floor and a 39.45 in the all-around, winning both events.  She also took home the vault title in the Minnesota meet.  Against TWU, the Markham, Ontario, native, won the vault and the all-around title once again.  This is Simbhudas' second weekly accolade of the year and career.

Nicole Curler, Michigan State

Curler scored a 39.525 in the all-around against LSU to set a career-high total and the highest all-around score in the Big Ten this season.  She also placed second in the beam with a 9.925 against the Tigers and took third in the bars (9.875).  In Michigan State's second meet of the weekend against Ball State and Western Michigan, the Bay City, Mich., native, won the all-around competition and placed second on the floor (9.825) and the bars (9.800).  This is the second career weekly honor of Curler's career.
