Illinois and Ohio State Receive Final Weekly Women's Gymnastics Awards

Gymnast of the Week
Illinois' Allison Buckley took first place in the all-around and won two event titles at the State of Illinois Classic en route to her second Big Ten Gymnast of the Week award of the season. Buckley led the 16th-ranked Illini to first place at the quad-meet, posting a school-record score of 39.550 in the all-around. She also tied the best score on the balance beam in program history, earning a 9.950. Her second event title came in the floor exercise, where she recorded a 9.925. Buckley also finished second on the vault (9.875) and tied for eighth on the parallel bars (9.800). The three individual titles give the senior 62 in her career, marking the most in school history.

Freshman of the Week
Sarah Miller picked up two first-place finishes to lead No. 14 Ohio State to a tri-meet win against Missouri and Pittsburgh and earn her the final Freshman of the Week award of the season. Miller posted a career-best score of 9.950 on the balance beam, good for first place. She also tied for first in the floor exercise, recording a 9.900. The Collegeville, Pa., native hauls in her sixth weekly laurel of season, tying the Big Ten record for most freshman honors won in a season.
