Ohio State University will host the conference's women's gymnastics squads for the 2010 Big Ten Women's Gymnastics Championships, which will take place Saturday, March 27, beginning at 2 p.m. ET, and the action will be carried live by the Big Ten Network.

The Michigan Wolverines have won the last three conference championships and 17 overall as they enter the Big Ten Championships as the highest ranked conference squad in the latest GymInfo National Team Rankings. Last year, the Wolverines used an impressive effort on the uneven bars, totaling a score of 49.425 on the apparatus, to propel them to a 197.075 team total and the conference championship.

Several gymnasts return to defend their 2009 individual event championships, including the three conference gymnasts who shared the top spot on the floor exercise. Illinois' Sarah Schmidt, Michigan's Kylee Botterman and Penn State's Brandi Personett each scored a 9.950 to lead the rest of the field in the event. Additionally, Michigan's Trish Wilson returns in hopes of defending her uneven bars crown, having won the event in 2009 with a score of 9.950.
