Through Monday, the Big Ten will highlight the student-athletes nominated for the conference’s Athlete of the Year awards. Award winners are voted on by a pre-selected media panel and will be announced on Monday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. CT on BTN.

Lindsay Mable – Minnesota – Gymnastics

Mable was named the NACGC/W North Central Region Gymnast of the Year and became Minnesota’s first Big Ten All-Around champion since 2009 with a school-record 39.650 score. That total included the school’s third perfect 10 score, which she earned on the vault. She placed fifth on vault at the NCAA Individual Event Finals, earning first-team All-America honors. She also was a second-team All-American on floor exercise. Mable notched 25 events wins and 10 all-around titles in 14 meets this season. Click HERE for more information on Lindsay.
