Big Ten Women's Indoor Track and Field Season Opens This Weekend

The 2005 Big Ten women's indoor track and field season gets underway this weekend with Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota all opening the year at home on Saturday. The Cream and Crimson will compete in the Hoosier Open, while the Wolverines and Golden Gophers host the Jack Harvey Invitational and Minnesota Open, respectively. Ohio State was previously set to open its season on Saturday with the Buckeye Invitational, but after the cancellation of the event, the team will hold an intrasquad meet in preparation for the Kentucky Invitational next weekend. Defending Big Ten Champion Penn State and the remaining five League schools begin their 2005 campaigns on January 15.
