Athlete of the Week

Stephanie Linz, Michigan
JR, Okemos, Mich./Okemos
Linz garners Athlete of the Week accolades after setting an NCAA automatic qualifying mark in the high jump over the weekend at the Kentucky Invitational.  The Okemos, Mich., recorded a personal-best clearance of 6-0.50 (1.84m) to finish second behind 2004 U.S. Olympian Chaunte Howard of Georgia Tech.  The meet was Linz's first since the 2003 season, when the junior earned All-America honors at the 2003 NCAA Outdoor Championships in the high jump and was on the All-Big Ten second team in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.
