Track Athlete of the Week
Chelsea Blanchard earns her first weekly award of the season after she took first place in the 3,000-meter run last weekend as Indiana hosted the Gladstein Invitational. Blanchard took the win with a time of 9:24.41, the third fastest in the NCAA this season. The time is the fifth-best in Indiana history and the fastest in the Big Ten this season by 5.75 seconds. The junior is one of only three runners in the country to finish the 3K in less than 9:30 this season.

Field Athlete of the Week
Purdue's Dani Bunch earned a pair of personal records in the shot put and weight throw on Saturday at the Gene Edmonds Cup. Bunch topped the shot put field with a toss of 15.78 meters, which ranks fourth in the Big Ten, 18th in the nation and is second all-time at Purdue. She finished second in the weight throw, with a mark of 19.63 meters. The mark is second in the conference, 13th in the country this season and fourth all-time at Purdue. This marks Bunch's first weekly award of her career.
