Shana Cox, Penn State

Cox clocked one NCAA automatic qualifying time and two provisional qualifiers while setting one track and two school records at the Penn State National Invitational. The junior qualified automatically with a time of 52.31 in the 400-meter dash, setting PSU and facility records. Cox was also part of the distance medley relay and 4x400 relay squads that each qualified provisionally for the NCAAs. This is Cox' first career honor.

CO-FIELD ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Mallory Peck, Purdue
So., Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman
Peck tied her personal best and qualified provisionally for the NCAAs in the pole vault with a mark of 12'11.75". The sophomore's first-place finish helped the Boilermakers come out on top at the 12th annual Gene Edmonds Cup on Saturday. The award is the first of Peck's career.

Melissa Talbot, Wisconsin
Sr., Freedom, Wis./Freedom
Talbot recorded three personal-best performances en route to winning the pentathlon at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational. Her overall score of 4,048 provisionally qualified her for the NCAAs and came just two points shy of an automatic qualification. The senior took first in three of the pentathlon's five events with wins in the 55-meter hurdles (8.06), high jump (5'05.25") and shot put (40'07.00")
