Edwards posted an NCAA automatic qualifying score in the mile run at the Tyson Invitational last weekend, clocking in at 4:36.08. The time is currently the best in the Big Ten this season and is the second-fastest time in the nation as well as Edwards' personal best. The award is Edwards' first career indoor honor and the third for Michigan track this season.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mariesa Greene, Illinois
Jr., Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central
Greene qualified automatically for the NCAAs with a leap of 6'00.50" in the high jump at the Tyson Invitational over the weekend. The jump was the junior's career best. The award is the first career honor for Greene and the first for the Illini this year.
