Michigan claimed its seventh Conference title after winning the 2005 Big Ten Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships held Feb. 26-27 at the U-M Indoor Track Building in Ann Arbor, Mich. After holding a slim lead following the first day of competition, the Wolverines closed out the weekend with some strong running to secure their first title since 2003, as they garnered 130 points to that of runner-up Illinois with 117.50. The seven League crowns ties Michigan with Wisconsin for the most in the history of the Big Ten Indoor Championships.

Several Conference squads will be in action this weekend as they have one last opportunity to earn NCAA qualifying standards before the Championships next weekend in Fayetteville, Ark.
