The 2012-13 women’s indoor track and field season is set to begin on Friday with Indiana taking to the track to host the Hoosier Open.
The remaining Big Ten teams will open their indoor campaigns next month. Penn State hosts the Penn State Relays on Jan. 5, while the following weekend features the season debuts for the remainder of the conference.
Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska and Ohio State begin their seasons on Jan. 11. The Wolverines and Spartans travel to Allendale, Mich., for the Bob Eubanks Open, the Huskers host the Holiday Inn Invitational, and OSU hosts the Buckeye Classic.
On Jan. 12, Illinois (Illini Open), Iowa (Iowa Open), Minnesota (Northwest Open) and Wisconsin (Badger Track Classic) all host events to begin the season. The Gophers also travel to Fargo, N.D., for the North Dakota State Invite, while Purdue visits Bloomington, Ind., for the Indiana/Purdue dual.
