Rosemont, Ill. – Eleven games will take place across the conference this week, highlighted by No. 11 Northwestern’s two road games against top-10 opponents. The Wildcats, who were idle last week, will face No. 4 Syracuse on Friday in a neutral site game, and then visit No. 7 Stony Brook on Sunday. The first nationally-televised game of the season will occur on Wednesday, as No. 18 Johns Hopkins hosts Georgetown in a game that can be seen on ESPNU.
Michigan gets the weekly schedule started on Tuesday evening with a trip to No. 20 Stanford, while Rutgers continues the top-20 opponent theme when No. 13 Penn visits Piscataway on Wednesday. Ohio State makes the short trip to Duquesne on Friday afternoon, while Michigan closes out its west coast road trip with a visit to Berkeley to face Cal.
On Saturday, three Big Ten teams will be on the visitors’ side of the sideline, with Rutgers heading to Philadelphia for a contest at Drexel, No. 1 Maryland visiting Hofstra and No. 6 Penn State trekking to Baltimore for a game against Loyola (Md.). Johns Hopkins closes out the weekend on Sunday with a home game vs. Furman.
