Maryland and Penn State Earn Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors

Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week
Taylor Cummings, Maryland
Sr. – M – Ellicott City, Md. – McDonogh

• Recorded a combined 11 points with eight goals and three assists in wins over nationally-ranked Northwestern and Cornell
• Scored five goals against the Wildcats in the conference opener
• Produced three goals and added three assists versus Cornell
• Tallied seven draw controls, gathered six ground balls and caused four turnovers against Northwestern, as the Terrapins limited the Wildcats to four goals
• Secured nine draw controls, scooped up three ground balls and caused three turnovers against Cornell
• Earns her seventh career Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week plaudit and second this season
• Collects her fourth Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor and third of the season

Madison Carter, Penn State
A – Davidsonville, Md. – South River

• Tallied a combined six points with four goals and a pair of assists in the Nittany Lions’ wins over Drexel and Rutgers in the conference opener
• Scored a goal in the 14-5 victory over Drexel
• Scored three goals and added two assists against Rutgers
• Currently tied for fifth in the Big Ten with 2.45 goals per game
• Earns her third Big Ten Freshman of the Week plaudit
