Rosemont, Ill. – The second half of the conference season kicks into full gear this week, as all seven teams have played at least three conference games to this point. The week begins with Johns Hopkins hosting No. 4 Stony Brook in a game that will be televised live on ESPNU on Tuesday evening.
A huge nonconference game will take place in College Park on Wednesday, when No. 7 Princeton travels to face No. 1 Maryland. Two conference contests take the stage on Thursday, with Michigan hosting Rutgers in a game televised live on BTN, while a match-up of top-20 squads takes place along the shores of Lake Michigan when No. 6 Penn State visits No. 18 Northwestern.
The week concludes with a pair of games on Saturday, as No. 1 Maryland welcomes Ohio State, and No. 18 Northwestern hosts another top-20 opponent when Duke comes to Evanston.
With only a few weeks left in the regular season, Maryland, Northwestern and Penn State lead the standings with 3-0 records in conference play. Rutgers currently holds the No. 4 position in the standings at 1-2, while Johns Hopkins and Michigan are tied for fifth at 1-3. Ohio State rounds out the standings in seventh. The 2017 season marks the first time that the Big Ten Tournament will feature a four-team field. The event will be hosted on May 5 & 7 at Maryland.
